“Philippe Quenum’s debut offering for the Orac imprint, with his stylised blend of percussive reductions spread across two solid tracks, Acalanto and Glasgow. Acalanto returns to the quasi-latin templates favoured by most of Cadenza’s roster, bells and organic drums layered in a propulsive fashion, engineered for beach parties and Caipirinha-fuelled sessions at house parties the world over. It’s glamorous, joyful stuff, expertly produced by this gifted producer. “Glasgow” darkens the mood, muted drums and clipped percussion structuring themselves around loose synths and effects, delivering a late night number honed, perfected and deployed for dedicated pharmaceutical partying, Glasgow styles…”

“This young Dusty Kid has turned into a really hot bestseller. A quasi-Dan Brown of Techno – well, maybe this is a rather lousy comparison. But whatever he touches turns into purest gold. A cash-cow then? No, sounds silly, too. But his recent productions are the best proof that this jack-of all-trades knows what he is doing! Precisely, that hits the nail on the head: He is the jack-of-all-trades!
No matter on which label, no matter how, as a solo artist or remixer or like in this case, in co-operation with MARACIA – he always is 100% reliable and with 1000 volts! Our jack-of-all-trades! We really appreciate this and are really proud of our brick who, by the way, will be doing a live tour (for tour dates, check DATES). You will be thrilled, that’s as sure as hell. MARACIA aka Emanuele Marascia is an Italian producer bomb and DJ god and known for his remixes he did for Todd Terry, John Aquaviva and Richie Hawtin on Illegal and Strictly Rhythm in the 90s. Now he has sold his soul to Dusty Kid and both will rock the club to pieces with this 12” release! Sounds nice, doesn’t it? And we are all looking forward to a really hot autumn!”

“‘Voda’ opens up this EP , a guaranteed hit with lovely percussions and a tipping melody coming from deep below….’Sunce’ is a storming tech house track bursting with energy and ideas,..somehow a tech house lullaby that keeps increasing the tension and turns the screw towards excess. Finally we have the awesome reggae influenced track ‘Mare’ which offers another interesting side of the diversity of this artist, minimal reggae techno very fresh and inspiring..”

“Audision comes absolutely correct here with a 4-track EP of what can only be called delightful techno grooves. Melody, loads of depth, acres of grooviness and a real sense of space to the arrangements all mean that if you’re a fan of the work of Lawrence you’ll probably love this. Possibly a bit more minimal at times, I guess, but none the worse for that and there’s a wonderfully Berlin-sounding beatless cut at the end as well. The track “Drunk on beauty” should work everywhere, I just got the creeps while listening to it, it reminds me “Groove la chord” from Aril Brikha in 1999. The three-years journey between Augsburg, Frankfurt and Hamburg pressed on black gold. Tip!”
